Pears and sweet red pepper Still life art paintings classical realism fine art

still_life-realism-fine_art-oil_painting-bookshelfstill_life-realism-fine_art-oil_painting-red_pepper These are two new oil paintings on canvas that I painted in the classical realism stile. Someone named them as paintings with mood

The first painting is a classical still life fine art oil painting depicting three pears of different kind laying on a bookshelf full of old books.  The big green book from the right of the painting is a copy of the very first edition of the famous novel “Moby Dick or The whale” of the famous artist writer Herman Melville. All the three pears “play” a character role on this scene. The two small pears are two who just saw the third pear which is as big as a whale. It’s a whale pear compared to the little two fruit.

I painted this fine art still life composition in oils using the classical oil painting techniques

The second painting is a classical still life fine art oil painting of a simply sweet red pepper laying on a piece of wood. I found this sweet red pepper as a beautiful subject for a classical still life. It’s beautifully swirled and bent which gives it nice curves to paint. I used both the painting technique of glazing and “alla prima” in order to get this piece of fine art finished

Sweet Red pepper – oil painting – 20x20cm, 8”x8”
Pears on a bookshelf – oil painting – 36x28cm, 14”x11”

Both of these fine art paintings are beautiful examples of classical realist paintings.
If someone are looking for still life paintings with mood, here they are! Enjoy them!

Below are the breakthrough video artclips of these oil paintings
